Coach Scott, 17s Boys Assistant Coach
Coach Scott Pratz has an extensive background in volleyball, both as a player and a coach. He played club volleyball at Stanford and the US Coast Guard Academy, participated on the armed forces Navy volleyball team, and currently competes with the DMV Dynasty VLA Team. His coaching experience includes assisting with McLean Varsity Girls, Hayfield High School Boys, and supporting the Boys Monument Volleyball and Boys South County Volleyball Clubs.

Coach Scott focuses on core skills such as hitting and blocking mechanics, footwork, and technical understanding. His training emphasizes teamwork, fast tempo offenses, and creating cohesion among players. Why He Loves Volleyball and Coaching Philosophy
Scott discovered his love for volleyball at age 16 and has been passionate about the game ever since. Motivated by the limited boys' programs available during his youth, he now enjoys providing young athletes the opportunity to learn and excel. His coaching philosophy is centered on teaching players the technical aspects early, building a solid skill base, and instilling a lifelong appreciation for the game.
Fitness and Personal Interests
Coach Scott is dedicated to fitness, playing volleyball and working out 3-4 times a week. Additionally, he enjoys training dogs and competing in dog sports.
